xarOpenID was a module i did a few years ago enabling xaraya to use  OpenID for log in.

OpenID eliminates the need to have multiple usernames across differing websites. Instead, it provides a universal login to use across different web sites.

There are different providers of OpenIDs, and you can choose which provider you register your own OpenID with. Once you have an OpenID you can use it on any of the many OpenID enabled websites.

At present, our Xaraya xarOpenID module provides the ability for users to use their existing OpenIDs to login to an OpenID enabled Xaraya site.

We are now upgrading the xarOpenID module to take advantage of the newer OpenID version 2,  and simplified classes. Once upgraded it will be made available for download from Xarigami.com.
