We're pleased to finally announce the release of Sitetools 0.5.0.

Sitetools is a popular set of tools for managing various aspects of your site. This version contains a much needed rework and update of templates, php classes and functions across the Sitetools' functional areas.

As well as a number of bug fixes, there are additional features and improvements including:

support for bz2, as well as tar.gz and zip files for backup

sorting of cache files in cache file view by name and key for easy identification

better provision for relocatable var directories

improved database support for MySQL versions including 4.1 and 5.x (not tested on 6)

Instant restore of default settings button

optional timestamps in backup file names

One planned change not implemented here is the addition of multi-database, table and column browsing and management which instead was added to core Dynamic Data module in the Utilities area. This enabled us to consolidate core code, reduce redundant or duplicated code in core, as well as improve functionality in core, without duplicating functionality or code in Sitetools.

Please see the Sitetools 0.5.0 release page for full details.

As always, we welcome your feedback in the Xarigami Forums and if you find any bugs, please log them in the Sitetools Issue Tracker.
