details

This theme is a port of the original fixed width Wordpress theme called xarfasttrack by Sadish. I did my original port of this theme back in 2005 and, now updated for current Xaraya and Xarigami.

There are a number of extra features over the original that makes it easy to use with Xaraya, and allows you to easily customize it further if necessary.

1. A compact Administration menu that displays in at the head of the page when the Administrator is logged into the site. This removes the need to clutter the page with additional administration menu blocks in the left of right side columns.
2. A separate 'admin.xt' page template (found at themes/xarfasttrack/pages/admin.xt) used for all Administration tasks on your site.This template removes the clutter of left of right side columns providing a wider area for work when editing articles or performing other administration related tasks.
3. Edit side blocks by clicking on the Edit icon next to the block title. This removes the need to have to remember the name of your blocks. Editing of a given block can be carried out by any person that has been given privileges to edit that specific block.
4. Separate top navigation and footer templates (in themes/xarfasttrack/includes) allowing you to edit top navigationa and footer in one place but include it via <xar:template /> tags in any number of templates. Specifically for this theme in the pages templates default.xt and admin.xt
5. Customized comments templates for default 'flat' rendering in line with the design of the original FastTrack theme. This includes numbered comment replies. Additional support for Changelog module (hook changelog to Comments).
6. Customized articles templates for News publication type in line with the design of the original FastTrack theme. Styles including blockquote style added.
7. Additional 'Admin Dashboard' template (themes/xarfasttrack/pages/dashboard.xt) that will be used for all Administration tasks if the 'Enable the Admin Dashboard' option is chosen in the Themes Modify Configuration page.

Requirements

Xarigami cumulus core and xaraya core 1.1.x [see special note below]

Options:
If the following modules are installed, the theme has provision for them with special layouts.

• Xarigami Articles,
• Xarigami Sitecontact,
• Xarigami Comments

Special note for Xaraya core users:
xarfasttrack will install on Xaraya Core and work with Sitecontact. You will have to adjust the Article and Comments templates in the themes for Xaraya modules or remove them from the theme. If you do not do this  you will get errors as the Xaraya modules do not support the features found in Xarigami modules.
