The main focus of this release is the integration of the upstream tinymce version 3 branch code.

• Additional bugfix release 1.5.3 on 9 January 2009 incorporaties upstream version 3.2.1.1 release (to revision 984) with improvements for webkit based browsers, p tag issues, validation problems. xarTinymce fix for double quote issue in bool vars adding to p tag problems.
• Additional minor release 1.5.2 on 18 November 2008 incorporaties upstream version 3.2.1 release (to revision 962) with improvements for webkit based browsers, IE8, plugin fixes and some feature additions. Some xartinymce bug fix related to language strings and missing vars.
• An additional minor release 1.5.1 on 20 Sept 2008 has some bug fixes and new dpHighlight syntax highlighter plugin (you must have dpHighlight module installed).

The latest dev builds are also available that contain most recent bug fixes.

Major changes include:

• Integration of upstream tinymce version 3 branch code
• Update of all standard tinymce plugins for compatibility with the new code
• Update of all xaraya flavoured and xaxTinyMCE additional plugins such as 'pagebreak' (previously known as xarpagebreak), 'loremipsum' (previously known as 'lorem', and liststyle.
• Changed tinymce compressor loading mechanism in xaraya and improved performance
• Enhanced xarTinyMCE DD property
• Miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes

Special notes

Note for ibrowser/imanager users:
You must use compatible ibrowser and imanager plugins for this version and only some browsers are supported. Please check the xarTinyMCE project page for download details.

Requirements

• Xaraya Core OR xarigami core (cumulus)
• Xaraya or Xarigami HTML module

This version works out of the box with Xarigami Core, or current released Xaraya Core 1.1.5  (from the nightly download or monotone repository).

If you do not have Xaraya core 1.1.5 (from 20 Sep 08 onward) then be sure to update with the latest to prevent problems or apply the following fixes and enhancements to your Xaraya installation:

• To take advantage of the new xarTinyMCE DD property you must have the newly reworked Base module 'textarea' DD property and templates in xar 1.1.5 (20/9/08 mtn) and xarigami core. If you do not have these versions or greater you can download them here and install to your site.
• Please make sure you have applied the checkbox property bug fix i added to Xaraya core. Details can be found in the comments at xtm-000199 or http://mt.xaraya.com/revision/info/c306355473ea3b2568b1e413fc50c6b0f21ea07a

Install

Please read xardocs/INSTALL.TXT in the xarTinyMCE module directory.

Upgrading

After replacing your exisitng xarTinyMCE module with the new version code, please go to your xaraya site's Modules Listing and Upgrade the module. Remember to Activate it there too.

You may have to update templates or configuration settings:

• review all configuration settings for changes, and make sure you hit update on each setting tab page in the Modify Config of xartTinyMCE.
• the pagebreak plugin is now standard and updated to use xaraya pagebreak syntax, and called simply 'pagebreak'. The lorem plugin is now called 'loremipsum'. Update your Plugin and Button list accordingly with the new names if you use these plugins.
• for those using custom xartinymce dd property templates, or those that have activated tinymce using the standard 'template snippet' mechanism, please update your templates with new code (check the differences). Also, ensure the new xartinymce modvar 'activetinymce' is used rather than the older deprecated Base module 'default' modvar in those snippets and templates.
